Satun Story
Satun Story or “โหม๋เรา เล่าตูลล” is a vibrant community initiative in Satun that brings together locals to share and listen to stories about their city. Through collaborative efforts with KMUTT, TK Park Satun, and local authorities, this program builds a culture of lifelong learning. By training over 130 Learning Administrators, including 15 Super Active ones, it empowers residents to document and disseminate Satun’s rich heritage. This grassroots movement not only preserves the city’s narratives but also positions Satun as a UNESCO Learning City, promoting sustainable development through shared knowledge and cultural appreciation.
A Journey of Geopark
A Journey of Geoparks invites participants to explore Satun’s natural wonders and cultural heritage through immersive, hands-on experiences. From fossil hunting and traditional dyeing to marine ecotours and old-town storytelling, the journey brings to life the concept of lifelong learning rooted in local wisdom. Participants not only discover the rich geodiversity of Satun but also connect with communities that embody sustainable living. This experience builds a deeper appreciation of how nature, culture, and education intertwine, shaping resilient and inclusive societies. It’s a journey that nurtures curiosity, strengthens cultural identity, and inspires environmental stewardship across generations.

Fossil Exploration &
Natural Dye Workshop

Training of
Learning Administrators
Selected community members undergo comprehensive training to become Learning Administrators. They acquire skills in effective communication, documentation, and facilitation, enabling them to lead educational activities and mentor others. This empowers locals to take active roles in sustaining and disseminating Satun’s rich cultural and geological knowledge.
Coastal Boat Journey
at Geo Sites
A boat trip through Satun’s marine geopark reveals mangroves, limestone cliffs, and rich biodiversity. Guided by locals, the activity promotes understanding of coastal ecology, climate resilience, and the community’s role in conserving these delicate ecosystems.
